‘This is another fine blog you got me into...’

Just a quick one this week folks...

Next special is MODOK!

Looking good eh?, I think this fits the weird and wonderful side of Marvel don'cha thunk?!

Here's a preview of N&A, would love to tell you guys some solid news about whether they will be a special or not, but it's not 100% decided yet, so I'll say no more ;}

Here’s Dene Mason’s final pose/costume design for Domino, we went for pose 4 (remember the original sketches?), we thought it played on the deadly/vulnerable juxtaposition quite well. We also decided on the latest X-Force Black Ops costume as it’s one of her most consistant looks. The other 90s costumes look a bit dated and her 00s Deadpool look wasn’t quite good enough either.

Not sure if you’ve seen the fully painted final version of Odin yet? (the photo does not do this sculpt justice - it's a real wowza in the flesh (or should that be lead?)! and the size issue is definately blown away when you see his true awsomeness!

One last nugget for ya, the next confirmed character is Hela.

I think she’ll make an amazing figurine and an /Asgardian/female/villain to-boot!
Rich has some reservations about her size and complexity being an issue (so we may not be able to go totally wild with her), plus he reckons no one wants her! stuff that nonsense she's in...

Caio for now.

Whenever i think of this villain i always see the big tentacle from the martian tripods in the original War of the Worlds it's head was very cobra like and damn scary as a young un. This guy has fought everyone from the Celestials to Spidey and Quasar...or there may be more than one of him.....or he comes back time and again with upgrades Ultron style....there are several continent sized holes in my Marvel knowledge...still he would look most marvelous....He's even fought the Justice league of America ..and he had a story arc crossing all the big Marvel annuals....plus he looks lovely...but nobody loves him. I can see Leigh right now with remnants of a qwerty keyboard embedded in his forehead.

Uhh... Shuma-Gorath? o_o
I have no clue whom you are talking about, to be frank.

Maybe it's because I just got up, but sheesh.

"No Raccoons in this collection. This is Marvel not Disney."

Good point, Tino. Who wants diversity in the figures? Not me. In fact, whoever brought up Stegron last week was out of their mind! This isn't Jurassic Park.

Rocket Raccoon is my favorite character not yet made. He has a lot of Cosmic fans. And even Dan likes him. To say he shouldn't be in the collection because he's an animal... and that's it... is the same as saying Lockjaw shouldn't, and most people find the dog NECESSARY to completing the collection.

Not me, it just would look out of place,I may be wrong but i believe Diversity was an old old wooden ship used during the civil war era

Ted, I don't think EM would be concerned about an old, old wooden ship, but nice try.

Dan.....

Again I would like to hear how the selection process works. Even though it doesn't matter which characters are chosen (because I buy them all) it seems that some major teams and characters have been excluded or done after many lesser characters. I understand diversity is one of the great features of this collection but still curious how a meeting for the selection process is conducted.

Again as always I will put in my vote for:

Power Pack (any talk or consideration)
Rom- never hear any mention of him on the boards

Thanks

Swordsman would be great. Classic Mantis too.

Great news on the DC collection. So it wasn't down to DC themselves seemingly. I wonder if EM were banking on the chess set. I'd still be quite amazed if either set got off the ground.

Captain Marvel Junior to complete the Marvel family please.

robert you seem to have lost you're memory. Having said that , don't you think it's about time we got spider man in this collection ? Surely he deserves a place !!

I'd like to see more character from New Mutaants team... of course Wolfsbane and Dani Moonstar.
Secondly more person from Hellfire Club. I can't wait for Selene figure. That could look awsome.

I just realized, with this week, there's still 14 or 16 characters to be revealed for this extension.
That means that if Dan continues with his drop by drop reveals, we'll be entertained for the next ~4 months!

Think ROM is not owned by Marvel kissynose which is why you won't hear mention of it. It got mentioned on the forum ages ago and I think that was the reason put forward so nobody wasted votes on him.

You wont hear requests for Power Pack because they are poo ;)

Sorry John did not mean to offend you but I looked up this raccoon because he is mentioned often enough & he just seems silly. He is like Howard the Duck though he was played for laughs. Marvel's twisted take on Donald & Daffy but the raccoon is played seriously & I'm sorry he looks like a raccoon dressed up. Can't take him seriously. I know that statement is silly in itself because in comic book world you suspend belief but I can't with the coon.
LOCKJAW is the INHUMAN'S dog & that's all he is besides their transportation but still their pet. He of course has a somewhat unique look to.
Yes I got a lot of flak suggesting STEGRON because he was not one of Spidey's top villains nor did I list him as the next figure I wanted & honestly I doubt he will ever be chosen because he is not a top echelon villain unless I win a contest & pick him myself. I did not deny my love of dinosaurs was a motivating factor in why I like him. That & the fact he would look good as a figure but the raccoon still looks like a dressed up raccoon. He will not make much of a figure looks wise or size wise.

Haha! Tino gets it! The whole rocket raccoon and Howard the Duck debacle! yes! And like John said, who wants Stegron, this isn't jurassic park?

You both want 'diverse' characters, yet you also dont want them. So to clear things up, lets not have any animal characters that talk. That way you boys cant complain when we get one character over the other, and I wont complain because we will be getting neither.

*high five*

If you build it he will come........by that argument if I think it Dan will announce it, right then, Hammerhead, Hammerhead, Hammerhead, Hammerhead. It's all subliminal....

Gremlin in the works said...

We have had XMen, Cosmic and Asgardians confirmed so now it's time for an Avenger.
I will go with U.S. Agent. Classic character who completes the main team from West Coast Avengers. Plus he has had some decent stories the past few years by joining Omega Flight, Mighty Avengers and he can currently be seen in Thunderbolts.

LAWay: "You both want 'diverse' characters, yet you also dont want them."

I was using sarcasm to express my example. Robert and I were the biggest supporters of Stegron when the topic came up. Anyway, I'm done talking about it because it makes me really sad.

I'd support Gremlin in his Avengers pick. USAgent has been moving around through all my favorite titles lately. He's just a great and interesting character.

I also support the call for more villains. So... Hammerhead. Hammerhead. Hammerhead. Hammerhead. Hammerhead. ...this subliminal thing works, right Navaho? Hammerhead. Hammerhead.

Excited Becquerel is excited. GOD I'M SO EXCITED!!! =D

SinisterVenom said...

Yeah US Agent is a great choice, either him or Whirlwind for the Avengers section please.
And joining in on the hype: Hammerhead! Hammerhead! Hammerhead!

Hammerhead, Hammerhead, Hammerhead!

Verification word: Ballin. Oh yea, Hammerhead sure is. :D
