Complete the Inhuman line-up...

Just a quick update this week to let you know that the next character in the extension is Karnak.

This probably shouldn't come as a surprise as he's pretty much the last Inhuman we need to complete the Royal Family (excluding Lockjaw).

Also just wanted to clarify the Northstar situation. If we don't get a double pack of the Alpha Flight twins, then Northstar will definitely be in this extension. So I guess that's two confirmed this week. Well at the moment...

More news next week.

I think Chris Evans was perfect as the cock-sure Torch, however Captain America requires an actor with a little more gravitas, remember this is the guy whom the other heroes look up to and if ever Marvel took on the 'might' of DC I would have no-one else but him leading us into battle. No offence but I don't think Mr Evans has that kind of calibre.
Now don't immediately laugh at this suggestion but I think a certain Matthew McConaughey could do the role justice, I know he's been in more rom-com's than you can shake a stick at but watch him in Sahara and you might get an essence of him as a hero. Anyway thanks to Robert, Hawkeye and Thor8 for the warm welcome and let me leave you with this final thought before bed.....civilian double packs, starting with ( trumpets please..) JJJ and 'Thunderbolt' Ross. You can't tell me those two they won't fly off the shelves!

Well, it has been more than a week since the old 'should we or should we not include civilians in the collection?' debate raged, Navaho, so thanks for kicking that all off again! :)

My original choice for Cap was also McConnachy and then I changed my mind. He does have a likeable charm (read into that comment what you will) but does he have enough natural authority...?

P.S. Navaho, don't be surprised if over the next few days someone asks you if you are me, Deadpool or Bob Diamond.

Okay that's 3 in favor of two names being given in the next update and 0 in favor of only one. I personally have not made up my mind yet.

Mad Thinker; Looking at your mind teaser I noticed at a glane that:

#1 is The Mad Thinker
#2 is Deadpool

a closer look tells me;

#4 is Howard The Duck and
#5 is Invisible Woman.

I'll get back to you if I can with #3,but I have to step out a minute!

Seems only fair to get two reveals when we missed last week's blog. And since there were some grumbles about the last reveal being too predictable, why not have one obvious reveal and one that is less obvious, maybe even unexpected...?

i agree with you 100% navaho -
matthew mcconoughey would suit that role perfectly.

Hi Guys...
...and a belated 'Good to have you with us!' to Navaho (cool name by the way!)
Firstly, I'm liking the alternative ideas for Howard the Duck team-ups,thank you Hood for the last one. (further 'suggestions' may follow from pirates and Vikings..)
Secondly, and I know this was mentioned a while ago, but what do you guys think of having vehicles as a sort of small sub- set?
I can't think of many, but it would be Excellent to have a model of The Avengers Quinjet, The Fantasticar and The X-Men's Blackbird. The magazine could then be a history of the whole Teams, which we haven't had before.
Eaglemoss do James Bond cars, so I'm sure this would be just as feasible.....and I know everyone out there wants a SpiderMobile!!!
Anyway, just an idea...here's to a new update and revealing (bound to be the long awaited Sons Of The Tiger Triple Pack.....or prehaps not.)
Have Fun!

hello Navaho, great to have more Asgardians among us.

i am going to make a request to Rich (probably wont get an answer, but here go's) "Richard, will you please put the civilian lovers out of there misery and tell them that JJJ, Gnr Ross, Mary Jane, ect ect have no place in the collection and make me a happy man or alternativly for this weeks reveal how about you anounce JJJ, and make lots of people happy and make me cry"

and for BobDiamond a partner for the Duck?...some nice roast potatoes and vegetables or hoisin sauce and crispy pancakes, mmmm my favourite

on a seriouse note what about the next special...is it Ronin or Omega Red or is there another option?

As for Specials,

I prefer Sasquatch over Ronan and Omega Red.

Aferall he is top of the special poll!

He should be done before others!

rich has already said previously that JJJ and general ross will get in eventually. the question is how long should it be. personally i think JJJ should be due before #200 and general ross should be in by #240.

Okay Guys, lets stop messing about and put our collective heads together and work out a way to get more double, triple and multi packs. For the collection to end and not have Volstaggs considerable girth occupying a corner of my Marvel 'room' would be terrible. There are so many great characters and this is already turning into a seminal Marvel collection, one which I'm sure will be talked about once it ends. If it requires a representive to act on behalf of the hardened bloggers then so be it, but we need more figurines to complete essential collections such as Alpha Flight, New X Men, Asgaard, Spidey villians, etc.Come on guys there must be a way to make more figurines available!

I would have thought the next special to be Cloak and Dagger or Blob before they even decided on Omega Red or Ronan? Any new news to clarify this Rich?
And also why are we not recieving any leaflets in the magazines to advertise a special being released anymore? That way, anybody who doesn't have the net won't know of any releases like Fin Fang Foom. I mean it's ok for us guys but there are people out there that don't have access to the internet (like my brother, who's lucky I tell him about these things lol).

jimbob said...

Blob better be before Omega Red and Ronan!!!!!

Robert said...

Since no one else has tried to solve your Avengers question, Thor8, why don't you put me out of my misery?

BobDiamond said...

I believe the answer to Thor8's pop quiz is... Avengers Issue 10, and it was shouted by Thor!....
....However, I must confess to cheating totally by looking it up on Bing (Boo, Hisss I hear...sorry guys)..and I'm supposed to be a major Avengers fan too, oh the Shame..
Anyway, where's Deadpool???

Robert said...

Thanks, Bob. So it was Thor! How appropriate! Ah, that Thor8 is more of a trickster than his mischief-making half-brother!

hope we get an update today, and not just an extension reveal or 2 but a few answers to the burning questions like the next special, Ronin or Omega Red, Wasps wings, civilians yes or NO!! and will the twins be made into a double pack or not also lets have some sneak peeks.

come on Rich, no update last week so we deserve a mega update this week or will we have to settle for a Deadpoo update again?

PA

jimbob said...

Rich said on the blog not long ago,no civies till after issue 200 at least.

pirate adam said...

what if the collection doesn't reach 200?

Thor8 said...

C'mon PA where's your faith? of course we'll make it to 200,(as Bud Lightyear says: to infinity and beyond)

As for the mind teaser I threw at you guys,Bob D is absolutely correct. It was indeed Thor in issue #10. I was considering suspending Bob from honarary Avengers status for "cheating",but being that he was honest about it and confessed I shall be merciful and let him stay!

Hope to see a mega update today with loads of goodies, like sneak peeks,2 names from the extension list, and loads of info and answers to our inquiries.

In the meantime who was the one that inspired Tony Stark to change his armour's color from dull gray to shiny gold? What issue did this occur in? Hey why is everyone running off to bing?

he likes to keep us all waiting does our richard.
hope it's all worth the wait and we get the answers we are all looking for with a mega update + 2 reveals along with one or two sneak peaks.

Photon and penance plus loads of new sneaky peeks, I saw it in my tea leaves

Hey Mad Thinker aren't you going to reveal the answer to your scrmbled letters test? I sent 4 out of the 5 but you haven't said if they are correct or not or who #3 is?

BobDiamond said...

aFirst of all I would like to thank Thor8 for not stripping me of my Honourary Avengers status, due to my underhanded ways..Thankyouthankyouthankyou..etc
(for a minute there I thought I was going to be as popular as Dr. Druid at an Avengers Reunion...)
Anyway Thor8, I am now going to have an HONEST stab at your latest Pop quiz this time (without even getting my Essentials copy out!)
Is it The Wasp(she seems the most likely to suggest a fashion-tip) in Avengers issue 2? (I don't think Iron Man had either of the large clunky armour styles after the first few issues...) My other idea was that you have been particularly tricky, and that it actually occured in Iron Man's own feature at the time, in Tales Of Suspense( but I wouldn't know the issue no. for that!)
Sorry for not mentioning the figurines guys...hopefully a new up-date very soon...
